Our beautiful big old beaten up street mama pup Minty passed yesterday . She was 15 .
She came to us ragged , twisted back legs , barely able to stand , tongue hanging out, teeth ground down by some sicko , mange riddled , yet her face was soft and pretty and she gave love instantly .
We managed to get 6 extra amazing years out of her after that previous rough life on the LA streets . All the love , all the food , all the meds , all the nature . She was a fighter and she gave to the end but she was ready . She was peaceful and it was dignified .
These creatures are gifts .
Let them into your hearts and go adopt those that need it the most . The deep joy and meaningful reward is beyond anything I ever imagined and without question worth all the work and all the pain .
